About the Author
Dan Gheno is a New York artist whose work can be found in many private and public collections including the Museum of the City of New York, The New Britain Museum of American Art and the Butler Institute of American Art. He teaches figure drawing and painting at the Art Students League and the National Academy School of Fine Arts, both in New York City and is a professor emeritus at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Connecticut. Dan is the one of the most respected painting and drawing teachers in New York City-- teaching at the renown Art Students League and the National Academy. Finally Dan has distilled his experience into this master class book. It is a great book for both experienced and beginning artists. Buy it.

The best drawing book I ever read and studied from, and I've read many! Dan Gheno discusses the aesthetic and technical concepts in an easy to read style. By far the most innovative approach of any drawing book. An excellent addition to any Art Library .
